OCEAN is an eight county cooperative arts advocacy organization promoting the arts, artists, art galleries, arts centers and arts organizations on the Oregon coast.
OCEAN is working in Oregon's coastal counties to provide a wide array of professional services, creative programming, support and assistance. Membership will extend to individuals, town councils, county commissions, businesses and chambers of commerce.
Among the services and activities provided by OCEAN will be: Grants and funding; cultural facilities planning; marketing, tourism, economic development; community and downtown renewal; cultural planning; information services and publications; advocacy and leadership; arts education, classes, residencies, training; public art, performances, exhibits; liaison for the Oregon Arts Commission; recognition of volunteers and achievement; and collaborative projects.
