Event Description:

Blade Runner is a 1982 adaptation of Philip K. Dick's 1968 novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? It is set in a dystopian future, in which synthetic humans known as replicants are bio-engineered to work on off-world colonies. When a fugitive group of replicants escapes back to Earth, burnt-out cop Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) reluctantly agrees to hunt them down. The film won numerous awards, including a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score - Motion Picture, and two Academy Awards, for Best Art Direction/Set Decoration and for Best Effects/Visual Effects.
