Pacific Dance Ensemble presents an original adaptation of L. Frank Baum's timeless story, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" one of the most popular books in American children's literature. In addition to writing 14 Oz books, Baum was also a playwright, actor and independent filmmaker, wrote nine other fantasy novels, and a plethora of other works including 55 novels, 82 short stories, over 200 poems. His clever works predicted things that became common-place a century later such as, color television, laptop computers (The Master Key), wireless telephones (Tik-Tok of Oz), and advertising on clothing (Aunt Jane's Nieces at Work). "The Wizard of Oz" opened in Chicago in 1902 and then ran on Broadway for 293 stage nights, returned to Broadway in 1904 and later toured the United States until 1911. You won't want to miss this timeless classic!
