Come join us at the North Lincoln County Historical Museum for a new exhibit on 1950s advertising beginning on Wednesday, May 2nd in our upstairs exhibit gallery.
"1950s Advertising: Promoting Business in North Lincoln County" will focus on the hand-drawn, silly, strange, and interesting business advertisements that filled newspapers and phonebooks at the time. North Lincoln County was booming in the 1950s and businesses were popping up left and right as a result. Along with this boom came the need for attractive ads and slogans to draw in tourists and locals alike.
Also exhibited will be artifacts and memorabilia associated with these businesses. Take a step back in time and see what the 1950s businesses in North Lincoln County have to offer. Thanks, and see you at the museum!
Museum hours are 12 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; call 541-994-6698 for more information.
