Artwork by students shows that the spirit of creativity is alive and well at St. James Santiago School. Teachers at the non-profit K-6 elementary in Lincoln City know the creative arts are fundamental to learning, so they integrate the visual, musical and dramatic arts across the school curriculum. This exhibit of student projects from the 2017-18 school year amplifies the school’s current world study of Africa and much more through a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, writing, scientific illustration, clay, weaving and quilting. Art by the creative adult school community that supports student learning is also on display.
