Coos Art Museum is thrilled to welcome artist John Hewitt back to the Bay Area for a three-day watercolor workshop Friday, May 19 through Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Join us as Hewitt explains and demonstrates advanced watercolor techniques on a beginner level. He will demonstrate with detailed advice wet on wet, dry brush and many brush strokes to achieve any effect you need to paint a landscape. He will, also, provide design and color theory tips. Students can’t paint along with his demo or take notes and paint later and he will offer as much assistance as desired. There will be a class critique where he will offer positive and constructive feedback, which is very important to the art making process.
This will be a plein air workshop, weather permitting. Media: Watercolor. Skill Level: All skill levels welcome. Age Range: Adults only (one child may be permitted.) 12 students max. The workshop fee is $300 for CAM members/$350 non-members. For registration form visit www.coosart.org or contact the Art Education Dept. at (541) 267-3901 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
