Watching a moth on the windowsill. Cleaning dirty dishes. Forming and baking a loaf of bread. In this two-day workshop, take inspiration from the everyday acts that fill our lives. Examine personal essays by Virginia Woolf, Annie Dillard, and Brenda Miller that center around quotidian subjects or tasks and often use them as springboards to deeper meditations. Create new work from the readings and prompts, share your drafts, and receive constructive feedback from your peers.
New and experienced writers welcome.
