A Step Back in Time is the opportunity for the entire family to discover the local history and culture of Tillamook County. Visit all the local attractions for a low flat rate. Spend the day exploring Oregon’s museums, cultural and natural history centers, and ride the railroad.
This event is at multiple locations throughout Tillamook County including: Tillamook County Pioneer Museum, Latimer Quit and Textile Center, Garibaldi Maritime Museum, Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, Tillamook Air Museum, International Police Museum in Rockaway Beach, Cape Meares Lighthouse, Tillamook Forest Center, Tillamook County Historical Society, and the Northwest Old Iron Show. Every location will feature a unique exhibit or special activity that the whole family can enjoy.
Some of the special events that will be featured include: Weaving, Spinning, Rug Hooking Demonstrations at the Latimer Quilts and Textiles Center, Living History-Period Clothing 1800 to 1912 at the Tillamook County Pioneer Museum, Departing Garibaldi at the Oregon Coast Railroad, Lighthouse Tours at Cape Meares Lighthouse, Return from the Burn and Meet Smokey the Bear at the Tillamook Forest Center, a scavenger hunt at the Garibaldi Maritime Museum, the Women in Law Enforcement exhibit at the International Police Museum, tour Hanger B at the Tillamook Air Museum, enjoy a walking tour of some of the historic homes of Tillamook hosted by the Tillamook County Historical Alliance, and come see antique tractors, classic cars, and a tractor parade at the Northwest Old Iron Show. Tickets can be purchased at the Tillamook County Pioneer Museum, Tillamook Air Museum, and the Garibaldi Maritime Museum. Tickets go on sale July 1, 2016. Please consider buying your tickets in advance as a limited number of tickets are available.
