Event Description:

In the Old American West, citizens of small frontier towns learned that there was one person whom they could always turn to for help in any emergency - the local sheriff. The frontier sheriff served as lawman, firefighter, paramedic, sometimes-therapist, and was known to all by his distinctive tin star badge.

Andie Jensen will appear at the Coos Historical & Maritime Museum at 1 p.m. on November 2nd, to discuss his latest installment to his Law on the Bay series Coos County Sheriff’s Office 1854-1897. Jensen chronicles the role of the sheriffs who served, early vigilantism, the battle for the county seat, and more!
