For dinner, enjoy Pranqster Belgian Style Golden Ale with Chef Mike Downing's ahi poke, Le Merle Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale with fire-seared white Mexican jumbo prawns over wilted arugula with warm roasted mango and candied ginger vinaigrette, reduced Grand Cru sorbet as a palate cleanser, Brother Thelonious Braised ancho chile short ribs with wild mushroom polenta and white truffle oil, and a dessert course of Old Stock with a spicy caramelized pineapple bread pudding and ancho chile white chocolate cream sauce and Old Stock-infused Chantilly cream.
The Oregon Coast Jazz Party celebrates ten years of jazz this year! Set for Oct. 4-6, this event brings world-class jazz to the central Oregon coast in the “jazz party” format, which means that visiting musicians will appear in different combinations at different times, known as "sets," over the course of the jazz party. Performances are held at the Newport Performing Arts Center and the Shilo Inn Suites Hotel, both in Newport, Oregon.
Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) is the organizational sponsor of the international event, and partners with local businesses and more than 60 volunteers in the production of the jazz party.
Beer pairings and other food will be announced the evening of the dinner. Reserve your spot online here, using the "Pay Now" button below – the cost of $61.62 includes an OCCA online transaction handling charge – or call OCCA at 541-265-ARTS (2787) by Sept. 27. OCCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donation is partly tax-deductible.
