This class combines landscape and abstraction to improve technique, strengthen compositions and create unique interpretations of the landscape. Cynthia will show examples from art history and her own work. Any painting medium is welcome. Sketch outdoors and review abstraction the first day. The second day, develop paintings begun in the field and discuss composition. Further explore creativity and personal expression on the third day. Examples at the beginning and critiques at the end of each day will provide encouragement and constructive feedback. Complete three paintings and several drawings.
