Event Description:

Featuring a beautiful 1918 Steinway Grand Model B in an intimate afternoon concert. To highlight the merging of this exceptional instrument with the unique style and compositions of each outstanding Jazz pianist, vocalist Annie Averre hosts each concert singing a few select songs introducing each one and their music to the audience. 

Mike Horsfall -Educator, composer, arranger, recording artist and concert soloist Mike Horsfall plays piano and vibes performing in a variety of settings. Mike is in demand as a concert soloist, both on piano and vibes. An accomplished, well-rounded musician, he has recorded and/or performed with a large number of world class musicians. He comes often to play in Newport and has been a festival artist in the Oregon Coast Jazz Party several times horsfall5@comcast.net

John Bringetto, plays trumpet, flugelhorn, saxophone, flute and sings. He was born in California. With a B.A. and M.A. in music, John has been a professional musician most of his life. He played the jazz chair in the Stan Kenton Neophonic, and has backed such singers as Nancy Wilson, John Davidson, Johnny Mathis, Bill Medley, Frankie Avalon, and B B King. 1999-2009, John played music in many countries as he sailed around the world. He is now living in Newport. John is also Band Director of the Lincoln Pops Orchestra and plays locally with Perpetua as well as the Bringetto-Cameron Jazz Orchestra. John is the Band and Choir Director at Newport High School.
