Event Description:

This workshop is dedicated to the alchemy of materials. Learn to transform common materials and processes of artmaking into uncommon finished works. Starting with handmade gesso on boards, delve into experiments with acrylics, oils, papers, glues, encaustics and the use of various mark-making tools. Spontaneous exercises will provide new ways to approach technique and process. Time will be set aside for group discussions and critiques on the process of the practical, outrageous and the philosophical. This is an excellent workshop for those seeking to expand their art practice and stimulate their hidden muse.
