Portland artist Judy Vogland and her daughter Taylor Vogland Dreiling collaborate on an exhibit titled "Making Connections," opening on June 29 and continuing through July 22.
Taylor works in a variety of media creating richly textured painted surfaces and evocative organic sculptural forms. She earned a BFA degree at the University of Washington, an MFA at San Francisco Art Institute, and has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and elsewhere.
Taylor’s mother, Judy Vogland, as been making art for four decades. Her current work incorporates assemblage, painting and collage that is focused on the narrative of intimate realities from collected histories. Judy taught art for many years at Portland State University, Hillsboro High School, Haystack School at Cannon Beach, Oregon College of Art and Craft and Sitka Center for Art and Ecology. Her MFA in painting is from Portland State University.
