Event Description:

Writer Erin Ergenbright will present a workshop titled "Prompted” at the April meeting of Willamette Writers, Coast Chapter. She'll share some of her own writing projects, and draw on her twelve years as a writing teacher to illustrate how prompts help generate meaningful work. Erin Ergenbright is a founder of Portland’s popular Loggernaut Reading Series. In the series, each writer’s public reading is based on a prompt. In her April workshop, Ms Ergenbright will talk about different aspects of the series, after which workshop participants will be invited to write. “Attendees should leave the workshop with some promising new drafts” says Ergenbright.

Erin Ergenbright is the co-author of the Ex-Boyfriend Cookbook. Her writing has appeared in many journals and anthologies including Tin House, The Believer Magazine, Colorado Review, Indiana Review, MIX, Portland Monthly, and Oklahoma Review. She teaches writing at Portland Community College.
