As one of the primary performing arts, this website celebrates dance in all its forms - from student-made to community-based and professional. Find events reflecting dance performance and instruction of all styles - ballet, modern, jazz, tap, swing, ballroom, hip-hop, and others.

  • Eugene Ballet "The Nutcracker"

    December 19th, 2017 to December 19th, 2017

    Celebrate your holiday season with a marvelous journey to Eugene Ballet’s The Nutcracker. There’s a joyful magic at every performance as hundreds of aspiring young dancers join the Company on stage, while the Sugar Plum Fairy transports all to the Snow Kingdom and the Land of the Sweets. You’ll cheer and boo at the battle with the not-so-scary Mouse King and his Pirate Henchmice, as Clara and The Nutcracker win the day. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for youth 18 and under.

  • New Year’s Eve Bash with the Lincoln Pops Orchestra

    December 31st, 2017 to January 1st, 2018

    Ring in the new and (hopefully) improved 2018, with the Lincoln Pops Orchestra and the Lincoln City Cultural Center. The Pops, a 25-member band that specializes in Big Band classics, Latin dance orchestrations and other feel-good tunes, will be playing from 8:30 to midnight Saturday, Dec. 31. Tickets include light appetizers, four sets of live music and a midnight toast of champagne or sparkling cider.

  • Dances from the Heart - Pacific Dance Ensemble

    February 10th, 2018 to February 11st, 2018

    Pacific Dance Ensemble (PDE) presents their 19th annual FREE SHOW and Benefit Auction, "Dances from the Heart", Saturday, February 10th at 7pm and Sunday, February 11th at 2pm at the Newport Performing Arts Center. This year's program will feature PDE alumni choreography by Cecily Wechter, Erika Sugrue and Kurt Danna as well as new choreography from PDE director, Nancy Mittleman and present PDE members. PDE offers their choreography and performances as a gift to the community for free, in heartfelt recognition of all the wonderful support and skills they have acquired growing up in Lincoln County. PDE members have gone on to study and perform in companies and schools worldwide, including; The Juilliard School, Mark Morris Dance Group, Chris Elam Dance, NYU Tisch, "Sleep No More", Lady Rizo and the Jose Limon Company, in New York City alone.
