The Newport Visual Arts Center is a breathtaking site overlooking the Pacific Ocean for classes, workshops, meetings, conferences and private parties managed by Oregon Coast Council for the Arts. Our 900+ sq. ft. Conference Room faces the west overlooking the beach with the Yaquina Head lighthouse to the north and windows on three sides. The 300 sq. ft. Classroom has an ocean view to the south and west.
The Conference Room, Room 205, holds a maximum of 75 people. Eleven 8-foot tables and three 6-foot tables can comfortably seat 2 or more people to a table for hands on workshops. Additional tables and chairs are available. The room has heavy drapes that darken the room, a pull down movie screen for projecting imagery, a small moveable stage platform, and track lights to illuminate a speaker. There is an attached kitchen complete with refrigerator, microwave oven, electric 4-burner stove with oven, two dishwashers, 30-cup coffee pots, and pots and pans, bake ware, serving dishes, cutlery and dinnerware.
The Classroom, Room 302, seats 8 to 12 people comfortably at tables for classes or 15-30 in chairs for lectures and presentations. This room is a suitable break-out room for workshops held in the Conference Room. The classroom had blinds to darken the room and a pull down screen, and an adjacent room with a sink and two 12-cup coffee pots.
