ASA is a community of artists dedicated to bringing affordable arts education and enjoyment to students of all ages and all walks of life. The organization is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization that offers membership to artists, classes to the community of artists, and summer workshops. ASA also holds a fund raiser rummage sale each spring and a JURIED Spring Art Show every May.
Membership fees are $30-50 per year depending on whether the artist wants to display art for sale in the studio.
Membership provides a reduction in cost of classes. Some scholarships are available.
We offer summer classes for children, summer workshops for adults and regular fall, winter and spring adult classes in watercolor, acrylic, mosaics and other media from September through May.
Classes can run from one afternoon to eight weeks in length. Drop ins are okay in the longer class sessions. Class fees for members are $55 for eight week sessions. Non member fees for eight week sessions are $70.00. Drop in fees are $15.00 per day for regular classes. Summer workshops are priced differently and often bring visiting artist instructors from throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Monthly membership potlucks are held the last Tuesday of the month at 6 PM.
Artist Workspace: Open Studio time is available at no charge for members.
ASA welcomes all artists from beginners to accomplished, professional artists. We also welcome instructors and their ideas for classes to teach. Our goal is to provide affordable ways for people to express their art and learn new skills.
