Presenter Description:

We are independent music teachers  on the Oregon Coast who

* Promote music-making as a life-long activity

* Motivate students with a variety of festivals, concerts, workshops and other events 

* Provide a network for families who value music 

* Collaborate regularly and pursue continuing education 

* Belong to Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), professional organizations dedicated to fostering excellence in music education.

Our student events include the Ensemble Festival in the fall and Ribbon Festival in March. These events are open to the public free of charge.  Our students participate in the Oregon Music Teachers Association Syllabus program. Our membership includes qualified teachers of piano, voice, and guitar at the present time. To find a teacher in our organization visit our website: www.lincolncountyomta.org 

We also present our teachers and other members of the musical community in two concerts annually which benefit our scholarship fund, The Suzanne Brown Student Aid Fund.  The concerts are called Spotlight on the Teachers  and are usually scheduled in Septemer and February.

  • Spotlight on the Teachers: Classics You Love!

    September 23rd, 2018 to September 23rd, 2018

    Lincoln County Oregon Music Teachers Association presents an afternoon of classics: piano solos, two piano works, vocals, and chamber music to delight the audience. A reception with the performers follows with delicious refreshments. Admittance if by donation to the Suzanne Brown Student Aid Fund. This is one of the semi-annual benefit recitals that keep the Student Aid Fund going. The fund is used to help local students who need help paying for lessons, books, festival fees, etc.
