OCCA strengthens the arts by ensuring that the Oregon coast has a rich and vibrant arts community through support and promotion of arts organizations and individual artists.

This directory represents the coastal areas of Oregon, which include Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, Coos, and Curry counties and the coastal towns of Lane and Douglas counties.  OCCA is the regional arts council for this area. Learn more about OCCA's regional arts activities.

She has been living in the Newport area for nearly 30 years and is still an active member of the Oregon Coast Agate Club though she has retired from FACETS Gem & Mineral Gallery after 26 years in the business. Her pocket guides are sold nationally as well as statewide.

    Karel Murphy of Karel Murphy Designs is a Newport-based artist who works in three different mediums: mosaics, fused glass, and gemstone and glass jewelry. The main focus in her work is the use of color, and her work is often times bright and bold. Her designs are influenced by Native American motifs, animals, birds and designs using a flow of colors and textures.

    Native Oregonian, Kathleen Kanas has been collecting, preparing, plying, plaiting, and coiling a variety of natural fibers into traditional and organic forms for over fifty years.
