OCCA strengthens the arts by ensuring that the Oregon coast has a rich and vibrant arts community through support and promotion of arts organizations and individual artists.

This directory represents the coastal areas of Oregon, which include Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, Coos, and Curry counties and the coastal towns of Lane and Douglas counties.  OCCA is the regional arts council for this area. Learn more about OCCA's regional arts activities.

    The Oregon Coast Chamber Orchestra was officially created as a 501(c)3 in 2001 under the baton of Robin DeVour. John Monks has served as co-conductor for the past several years and is responsible for selecting and arranging every program.

  • Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA)

    The Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) manages two facilities in Newport, the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and Visual Arts Center (VAC), in keeping with its mission, which is to celebrate, promote and develop community arts.   • Oregon Coast Recorder Society

    The Oregon Coast Recorder Society, the first chapter of the American Recorder Society in Oregon, was founded in 1992 by a small group of recorder enthusiasts on the central Oregon coast. The chapter currently has nineteen members, who come from communities all over western Lincoln County.

  • Oregon Coastal Quilters Guild

    The Oregon Coastal Quilters Guild (OCQG) is a nonprofit organization of more than 200 quilt lovers throughout Lincoln County and beyond. They meet on the second Thursday of each month in the Fellowship Hall of Atonement Lutheran Church, 2315 N. Coast Highway, in Newport. Meetings feature a program, member “show and tell,” and involvement opportunities. Their annual quilt show is on the first Friday and Saturday of August at the Newport Recreation Center.
