OCCA strengthens the arts by ensuring that the Oregon coast has a rich and vibrant arts community through support and promotion of arts organizations and individual artists.

This directory represents the coastal areas of Oregon, which include Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, Coos, and Curry counties and the coastal towns of Lane and Douglas counties.  OCCA is the regional arts council for this area. Learn more about OCCA's regional arts activities.

  • Central Coast Chorale

    Central Coast Chorale (CCC) was formed in 1997 by local residents to provide chorale experiences to the community. The chorale is comprised of members of the greater coastal communities in and around Lincoln County, and performs several times a year, mainly the Christmas "Wishes and Candles" concert and the spring " Anything Goes" concert. Winter and spring concerts also include participation by additional invited instrumentalists and guests.

  • Coastalaires Barbershop Chorus

    The Coastalaires Barbershop Chorus is the performing arm of the Oregon Mid-Coast Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We meet each Thursday evening, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 227 NE 12th St., Newport, Oregon. Drop in just to listen, or join us in song.

    Coos Art Museum has been a cultural focal point of Oregon’s scenic Southern Coast since 1966. It occupies the historic 1936 Art Deco US Federal Building in downtown Coos Bay. The Museum offers a wide range of arts activities including exhibitions, art classes and lectures.

  • Coos Sand 'n Sea Quilt Guild

    Coos Sand 'n Sea Quilters was founded in 1991 with the mission "Dedicated to educate, and to share, and to perpetuate the art of quilting." Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month September through June at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Coos Bay from 7-9 PM, with social time starting at 6:15 PM. New members are welcome. Annual dues are $20.00. An annual quilt show is held the third weekend in September in conjunction with the Bay Area Fun Festival.
