OCCA strengthens the arts by ensuring that the Oregon coast has a rich and vibrant arts community through support and promotion of arts organizations and individual artists.

This directory represents the coastal areas of Oregon, which include Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, Coos, and Curry counties and the coastal towns of Lane and Douglas counties.  OCCA is the regional arts council for this area. Learn more about OCCA's regional arts activities.

  • Orchid Street Studio West

    Orchid Street Studio West is the studio of gyotaku artist Heather Fortner. It has long been Fortner's passion to share what she knows and loves about nature printing, gyotaku, and the sea. "Over the last 20 years I have developed one-, two-, and three-day workshops that address elements of nature printing, and nature appreciation," says Fortner.

  • Sea Fern Studio

    Sea Fern Studio in Toledo, Oregon is Heather Fortner's thousand-square-feet space set up with tall tables and a wonderful 30″ etching press for monoprinting. The goal of this studio is teaching about nature printing (both gyotaku [fish printing] and plant printing), and paper making.
