OCCA strengthens the arts by ensuring that the Oregon coast has a rich and vibrant arts community through support and promotion of arts organizations and individual artists.

This directory represents the coastal areas of Oregon, which include Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, Coos, and Curry counties and the coastal towns of Lane and Douglas counties.  OCCA is the regional arts council for this area. Learn more about OCCA's regional arts activities.

    Dave Ambrose has lived and worked in Astoria for the past 20 years. His fascination with the human condition has inspired most of his works. He works mostly from black and white photos for their intense use of lighting. He selects his colors to match the moods of the people involved in the paintings. His main inspiration comes from the Impressionist painters.

  • ARTISTS’ GALLERY ON 10TH STREET

    The newest addition to the vibrant Astoria art scene is now open. Artists’ Gallery on 10th Street opened this past week At 106 Tenth Street and features art by over 20 local and talented artists. Offerings include original art in oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, collage, mixed media, photography, masks, note cards, music, garden water features, and textile art, including “The Art of the Little Black Dress.” New art work will be added weekly.

  • Astor Street Opry Company Playhouse

    The Astor Street Opry Company (ASOC) Playhouse, located on West Bond Street in the Uniontown area of Astoria, is the venue for, among ASOC's many productions, the long-running "Shanghaied in Astoria" series.

  • Astoria Armory

    The Astoria National Guard Armory was built in 1941-42 by local contractor, John Helstrom. The city government deeded the land and old city hall which was being used as a hospitality room for troops to the state government.

    The AAMC is a dance and movement studio owned by a collective of passionate professional instructors in lovely Astoria, Oregon. With classes such as Zumba, Belly Dance, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Irish Dance, Karate, Jazz, Tap and Ballroom there is something to inspire every age, level and interest!
