OCCA strengthens the arts by ensuring that the Oregon coast has a rich and vibrant arts community through support and promotion of arts organizations and individual artists.

This directory represents the coastal areas of Oregon, which include Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, Coos, and Curry counties and the coastal towns of Lane and Douglas counties.  OCCA is the regional arts council for this area. Learn more about OCCA's regional arts activities.

  • Oregon Coast Recorder Society

    The Oregon Coast Recorder Society, the first chapter of the American Recorder Society in Oregon, was founded in 1992 by a small group of recorder enthusiasts on the central Oregon coast. The chapter currently has nineteen members, who come from communities all over western Lincoln County. Besides soprano, alto, tenor and bass recorders, the group also boasts viola da gamba, violin, cello, guitar and string bass plus a gemshorn or two.. Membership is open to all recorder players without audition. Rehearsals are Friday evenings at First Presbyterian in Newport except the second Friday of the month, when OCRS meets at St. Peter in Lincoln City.
