OCCA strengthens the arts by ensuring that the Oregon coast has a rich and vibrant arts community through support and promotion of arts organizations and individual artists.

This directory represents the coastal areas of Oregon, which include Clatsop, Tillamook, Lincoln, Coos, and Curry counties and the coastal towns of Lane and Douglas counties.  OCCA is the regional arts council for this area. Learn more about OCCA's regional arts activities.

  • Agnieszka Laska Dancers

    Agnieszka Laska Dancers comes together in 2003, originating with Laska’s initial choreography of three movements from Svoboda’s Dreams of a Dancer. In April 2003, for composer Jack Gabel’s Dog Star CD release event, the ensemble marks a solid presence on the artistic stage in Portland as the most musical dance company in town and puts Agnieszka Laska at a top-of-mind position with musicians in the Portland area.

    Learning by doing is Newport School of Dance owner Sian Zander's creed, built on over 50 years of dancing and teaching experience. "The body never lies" is proven true with every breath, according to Zander who has dedicated her work to bringing the best of the past to the dancers of today.

  • ARTISTS’ GALLERY ON 10TH STREET

    The newest addition to the vibrant Astoria art scene is now open. Artists’ Gallery on 10th Street opened this past week At 106 Tenth Street and features art by over 20 local and talented artists. Offerings include original art in oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, collage, mixed media, photography, masks, note cards, music, garden water features, and textile art, including “The Art of the Little Black Dress.” New art work will be added weekly.
